Istanbul Kültür University Family Business and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) organized the “10th Family Business Congress” on 15-16 May 2024 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in Bakırköy campus Ataköy building.

The opening speeches of the congress were made by Prof. Dr. Mahmut Paksoy, our President of AGMER, Prof. Dr. Fadime Yüksektepe, our Rector, and Mustafa Gültepe, President of the Türkiye Exporters Assembly. 

“The First University-Level Congress on Family Businesses”

A webinar titled "Sustainability in Family Businesses" was organized by Family Businesses and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Centre (AGMER) on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. The event, moderated by AGMER Director Prof.  Dr.   Mahmut Paksoy, was attended by Assist. Prof. Hatice Sezgin from Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, who partook in it as a speaker.

Family Business and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) organized a webinar titled "Inflation Accounting and Family Businesses within the Scope of Tax Procedure Law" on Monday, October 23 at 19.00 via ZOOM platform. Prof. Dr. Gürbüz Gökçen from Marmara University participated as a speaker in the webinar, which was presented by Prof. Dr. Mahmut Paksoy, Director of AGMER, and moderated by Prof. Dr. Peyami Çarıkçıoğlu from our Department of Business Administration.

Istanbul Kültür University Family Businesses and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) Deputy Director Assist. Prof. Andaç Toksoy attended the 10th National Family Business Summit organized by TAIDER Family Businesses. At the summit held at Swissotel the Bosphorus Istanbul on 4-5 November 2022 with the theme of “The Change in Our Values ​​from Past to Present”; 33 different speakers, hundreds of family business owners and members took part.

Our Rector Hanife Öztürk and our AGMER manager Assist. Prof. Nazan Çağlar made the opening speeches of the 9th Family Business Congress, which was organized in cooperation with Istanbul Kültür University Family Businesses and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) and TAIDER Family Business Association and hosted by Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center on April 14-15, 2022. The message of our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver, who could not attend the program, was read.

Within the scope of the panel series organized by the collaboration of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) and Family Businesses Entrepreneurship Research Application and Research Center (AGMER) and Managemen Consultant Association, this time the “System Management in the Family Businesses” was discussed. The event, which was organized on March 24, 2022, Thursday, online via ZOOM and YouTube platforms, drew heavy attention.

A webinar was organized with the collaboration of IKU Family Businesses Application and Research Center (AGMER) and Management Consulting Institute. The webinar which was realized via the ZOOM platform and also broadcasted live via YouTube on February 24, Thursday was moderated by Assist. Prof. Seray Begüm Samur Teraman, one of the academics from the Department of Entrepreneurship. The panel in which Salih Keskin, Innovation Coach and Dr. Ali Kurt, Synergia Co-Founder took place, started with Assist. Prof. Nazan Çağlar’s, Head of AGMER, speech.

A panel titled "Foreign Trade in the New World: What awaits Family Companies" was held on Thursday, December 23, in cooperation with IKU Family Business and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) and Management Consultants Association.

The online event started with the speeches of our Vice Rector & FEAS Dean V. Prof. Dr. Sinan Alçın, AGMER Director Assist. Prof. Nazan Çağlar and Management Consultants Association Chairperson Zeynep Tura.

A "Reverse Mentoring Panel" was held on the ZOOM platform on Tuesday, December 14, in cooperation with Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Family Businesses and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) and All Entrepreneurial Business Mentors Association (TUGIM). The opening speeches of the panel, in which TUGİM Mentor & Trainers Sarp Uzer and Hazal Alagöz were guests, were made by AGMER Manager H. Nazan Çağlar and TUGİM Board Chairman Meltem Çora.

In cooperation with the Family Business and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) and the Management Consultants Association (YDD), a panel titled "Future of Business Life: Hybrid Working Model" was held on Thursday, November 25, 2021, on the ZOOM platform.
