The İstanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Family Businesses and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) organized the panel titled “Family Asset Management in Family Businesses, Family Office and Family Entrepreneurship Fund” on April 24, 2017 in the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall.
İKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Güzel and İKÜ Chairman of the Board of Overseers Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver delivered the opening speeches of the panel.
The TAİDER Family Businesses Association İstanbul Provincial Representative Başak Çilingiroğlu Kurtoğlu was the panel manager while the İKÜ Chairman of the Board of Overseers Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver, İnci Holding Family Office Manager Şelale Zaim, Young Directors and Businessmen Association Chairman Serkan Sevim and Ak Portföy Assistant General Manager, CFA, Ertunç Tümen attended the panel as speakers.
The panel focused on the management of family assets and the education of family members in this regard, which are subjects on the agenda of large-scale family businesses in developed economies, and discussed the role of family offices and financial institutions in family assets management. It was noted that the importance of these subjects, which are not yet on the agenda of Turkish family businesses, will be realized in the next decade.
After the panel, the İKÜ Chairman of the Board of Overseers Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver presented a plaque of recognition to each panelist. Subsequently, the panel subjects were discussed with the audience at the reception.
